Addicts s’empare de façon évidente de l’accoutumance liées aux drogues, à l’alcool. Écrans, réseaux sociaux et annonces publicitaires complètent le panel car si elles sont plus récentes et, en apparence moins délétères, elles menottent et altèrent nos vies à bien des égards. Ces addictions qui nous dominent, nous insufflent un sentiment de puissance, nous offrent une alternative préférable à la réalité et avec elle, le penchant sombre/destructeur du manque jusqu’à la quasi-disparition de ce que nous étions défilent dans le texte d'Addicts.
